Help & Support
Getting Started
THRYVE is a ride tracking and community app for motorcycle, car, and bicycle owners. Use this guide when you need help with recording, map visibility, groups, events, messages, voice channels, your garage, or your account.
What is the minimum age to use THRYVE?
You must be at least 18 years old to create a THRYVE account or use the Service. People under 18 may not create an account or use THRYVE.
Creating Your Account
- Download THRYVE from the Play Store or App Store
- Sign up using your Google account, Apple ID, or email and password
- Complete your profile — choose a username, display name, vehicle type (motorcycle, car, bicycle, or multiple), and upload an avatar
Setting Up Your Profile
Your profile is where other members see your rides, garage, and earned titles. From Settings you can:
- Set your display name, bio, and avatar photo
- Choose your primary vehicle type
- Set an active title (earned from events) as profile flair
- Toggle your profile between public and private
- Control whether you appear on the proximity map
Activity Recording
Ride type recording guides
Use the public THRYVE guides for step-by-step setup by ride type:
- How to record a motorcycle ride
- How to record a car drive
- How to record a bicycle ride
- Motorcycle ride tracker and GPS recorder features
For motorcycle recording problems, use the focused support guides:
- Keep ride recording active in the background
- Fix missing or straight GPS routes
- View your ride history
- Share a recorded motorcycle route
- Record a group motorcycle ride
- Use offline motorcycle ride tracking
- Reduce battery use while recording rides
How do I record an activity?
- Tap the center button on the bottom tab bar
- Allow location permissions when prompted
- Tap Start. THRYVE tracks your route, distance, speed, and duration in real time
- You can pause and resume at any time
- Tap End to finish, then add photos and a caption before saving
Does activity recording work offline?
Yes. THRYVE records the activity on your device while you are offline. When your connection returns, the ride syncs automatically. Offline-synced activities are marked so you can tell which rides were recorded without internet access.
What stats are tracked?
- Route trace (displayed on a map)
- Total distance
- Duration
- Max speed
- Current and average speed during recording
- Start and end points
- Altitude data
Can I add photos to my activity?
Yes. After ending an activity, you can attach multiple photos before saving.
Proximity Map
How do I find members nearby?
Open the Map tab in the bottom navigation. If your visibility is on, the proximity map can show THRYVE members within about 5 km of your location. Positions refresh frequently while members are active.
Can I hide myself from the map?
Yes. Go to Settings and turn off map visibility. When visibility is off, other members cannot see you on the proximity map.
Ride Weather Forecast
What is Ride Weather?
Ride Weather shows a weekly ride forecast in the mobile feed so you can check conditions before planning a motorcycle ride, car drive, bicycle ride, group meetup, or event route.
What does the forecast show?
The forecast highlights temperature, rain chance, wind, and a ride status for each day:
- Good means conditions look friendly for riding
- Watch means check the forecast again and plan with care
- Skip means conditions may be poor for riding
Where does the weather data come from?
Forecasts are provided by Open-Meteo and are based on your current or known ride area. Weather can change quickly, so use Ride Weather as planning guidance and always follow local conditions and safety advice.
Events & Titles
What are events?
Events are official community activities with a route, difficulty level, description, and optional competition window.
How do I join an event?
Go to the Events tab, choose an event, and tap Join. After joining, record an activity along the event route. THRYVE checks your submitted ride against the official route.
What are titles?
Titles are collectible achievements earned through events. Each event awards a title with a badge, and your earned titles appear in the Title Collection on your profile.
What are exclusive titles?
Some events are exclusive. For those events, only the fastest verified participant earns the title when the competition window closes. Exclusive titles use gold styling and are the rarest titles in THRYVE.
How do I set an active title?
Go to your Title Collection (from your profile), tap any earned title, and set it as active. Your active title appears as flair under your username across the app.
Challenges & Challenge Pass
What is Challenge Pass?
Challenge Pass is THRYVE's progress system for eligible app activity. It tracks XP, levels, completed challenges, earned titles, and what is still ahead.
What kinds of challenges count?
Challenges can be based on events, ride distance, communities, posts, reactions received, and comments. Available challenge categories may change as THRYVE adds or adjusts features.
Do challenges unlock titles?
Yes. Some challenges can unlock profile titles. Challenge titles appear in your title collection alongside event-earned titles.
Groups & Communities
What are groups?
Groups are the communities you create or join inside THRYVE. Each group has its own chat, member list, and group events. Groups can be public, where anyone can join, or private, where an admin approves requests. You can make groups for a motorcycle crew, weekend cyclists, car meets, or mixed-vehicle communities.
How do I create a group?
Go to the Groups tab, tap Create Group, and fill in the name, description, vehicle type, group type (public or private), and avatar.
What are group events?
Group admins can create events within their group. Group events have their own chat, participant list, and optional route data. Group event creation is available on the Free plan and THRYVE Club; normal anti-abuse rate limits still apply.
How many members can a group have?
Groups support between 2 and 500 members, with a default limit of 50. The group admin sets the member cap when creating the group.
Voice Channel Intercom
What is Voice Channel?
Voice Channel is THRYVE's app-based ride intercom for real-time group coordination. The creator starts a channel, invites riders, and members in the channel can share live GPS positions on a shared map.
How does the ride intercom work?
When you join a Voice Channel, you can use the ride intercom on Android or iOS while coordinating with your group.
Can I choose my audio device?
Yes. The audio picker lets you switch between speaker, earpiece, and Bluetooth devices. THRYVE saves your preference for the next session.
How many people can join the ride intercom?
Free users can create ride rooms with up to 5 riders. THRYVE Club members can create ride rooms with up to 20 riders, and only Club users can join after the first 5 seats are filled.

Can I mute a conversation?
Yes. Open the conversation and you'll find an option to mute notifications for that chat.
